Yacht charter holidays in the Grenadines usually start in the following marinas: St. Vincent, St. Lucia, or Grenada.

Many charter guests start their sailing trip in Bequia, Mustique, Union Island.

From the European airports you have the cheapest flight connections to St. Lucia or Martinique. If you arrive by plane in St Lucia and start your charter trip, you can spend the night at anchor in one of the beautiful anchor bays of St Lucia, starting at noon.

If you start early in the morning, you can easily make it to St. Vincent or Bequia with a day cruise on the sailing yacht.

 A good charter period on the Grenadines is in spring, summer and autumn.  The Grenadine sea area is not protected from the Atlantic swell. Therefore the winter sailing trip between the islands can be very strenuous and challenging for beginners.  Therefore the crew should have some sailing experience for a trip on the Grenadines. This applies primarily to a trip in the winter months.

 The Grenadines are of volcanic origin and the islands have deep bays and sea inlets. This gives you a crystal-clear aquamarine seawater with snow-white sandy beaches.  All islands have beautiful soft white coral sand beaches and clear water. They are ideal for snorkeling, diving and here you will always find great anchorages after a long sailing trip.

Many small islands on the Grenadines are uninhabited such as the famous, breathtaking Tobago Cays, Mopion, Carriacou's Sandy Island, Mabouya and White Island.

A visit to these islands is always worthwhile and will remain an unforgettable experience for your fellow sailors.

Also worth a visit is the wonderful island Mustique, where many celebrities live such as Bryan Adams, Mick Jagger, Tommy Hilfiger or David Bowie Raquel Welch and Princess Margaret.  

Canouan is a crescent-shaped island surrounded by coral reefs and many shallows in the sea water - the dream of every snorkeler or diver.

The inhabitants of the island live mainly from fishing and small farms. But Canouan also attracts mass tourism with all its unpleasant side effects with its many great sandy beaches and untouched landscape.
