Sailing Holidays in the Seychelles
The remote and unspoilt Seychelles are the jewels of the Indian Ocean, known worldwide as a must-see destination for sailors and a great place to charter a sailboat or catamaran. Almost half of this tiny island nation, located about 160 nautical miles off East Africa, is made up of protected nature parks that help preserve the beauty of the white beaches, coral reefs teeming with life and uninhabited small palm islands that are home to rare birds. It is also home to the most photographed beach in the world, Anse Source d'Argent, whose pink sand is one of the reasons National Geographic named the Seychelles one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
A Seychelles yacht charter offers breathtakingly beautiful secluded anchorages, stunning open water passages, breathtaking beaches, modern resorts and casinos in Máhe, and picturesque villages where ox carts are a common sight.
Our clients fly (and tickets are amazingly cheap) to Mahé and sail from Praslin, possibly one way to Mahé. Contact us for more information on the price. Remember that we offer a price guarantee for sailing holidays in the Seychelles.

The Seychelles are a group of islands spread across the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. The Seychelles are also known as the pristine Garden of Eden and they are the perfect place for a tropical yacht charter sailing holiday with their white wonderfully soft sandy beaches, colourful coral reefs off the coast.
In a pleasant climate in the area of about 120 islets, where there are no hurricanes, there are 75 islands made of coral and the other 45 made of granite. The archipelago is located about 950 miles east of Kenya, 1750 miles southwest of India and 550 miles northeast of Madagascar.

What sailing licences are required for a yacht charter in the Seychelles.
In order to be allowed to sail in the Seychelles, the skipper's valid sailing licence, i.e. the official sailing licence of the issuing country, must be approved by the Seychelles authorities before the start of the sailing trip. It is therefore important that a copy of the skipper's sailing certificate is emailed to Yachtcharter Dagen as soon as possible. Once the skipper's sailing licence has been approved, you will receive confirmation from Yachtcharter Dagen. Before you receive this confirmation, Yachtcharter Dagen advises you not to book flights and/or hotels as the authorities may refuse the sailing licence, which means you will not be allowed to charter and sail in Seychelles, thank God, this happens very rarely.
You can get around the whole thing by contracting a local skipper. However, you must still remember to submit the other sailing documents.
